MTGOP thanks Matt Rosendale for service in Auditor’s office, welcomes Auditor-elect Downing to Helena

HELENA, Mont. – After faithfully serving Montana for four years as State Auditor, Congressman-elect Matt Rosendale will head to Washington D.C. as our lone voice in the U.S. House of Representatives and Auditor-elect Troy Downing is ready take over the office.

Montana Republican Party Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt released the following statement in response to Matt Rosendale’s service to Montanans:

“We’re thankful for Matt Rosendale’s bold leadership during his 4 years as Montana’s State Auditor. As Congressman, Matt Rosendale will work tirelessly to reignite the economy, cut government spending, and defend our treasured Montana way of life. As Rosendale serves us in Washington, we gain another successful businessman and conservative leader here in Montana with Troy Downing. Auditor-elect Downing is ready to work alongside Republicans in every statewide office to maximize the efficiency of state government and change the way Helena does business.”

Matt Rosendale’s service in the State Auditor’s office expanded access to affordable health care, lowered the cost of prescription drugs, increased public access to nearly 50,000 acres of land, and streamlined the Auditor’s office into a more efficient, leaner operation.
