MTGOP Responds to President Joe Biden’s Swearing in as 46th President

HELENA, MT – Today, Joe Biden took his oath of office, officially becoming the 46th President of the United States. As the United States’ success depends on the President, the MTGOP congratulates Mr. Biden and wishes him the best of luck as our Commander in Chief despite policy agenda concerns.

MTGOP Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt released the following statement in response:

“While I am praying for new administration’s success on behalf of all Americans, the beginning signs of a President Biden administration should be a concern for the overwhelming majority of Montanans that opposed his campaign of open borders and higher taxes,” said Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt. “Montana spoke clearly in the last election and voted for the conservative values that define our treasured way of life, not a third term of the Obama Administration.

As Montana’s leading advocate for smaller government, lower taxes, stronger families, the free market, and a stronger nation, the Montana Republican Party is gravely concerned about the liberal wish list agenda that Biden seeks to impose on America.”

    • Keystone XL: President Biden vowed to singlehandedly kill thousands of jobs and raise energy prices on millions of hardworking American families by canceling the Keystone XL pipeline. In Montana, Keystone XL would create hundreds of Montana construction jobs and generate millions in new tax revenue for Montana schools and rural communities.
    • Paris Climate Accord: Under President Biden, the US will rejoin the Paris climate agreement, which drastically undermines American national security interests in energy independence and disadvantages the US to the exclusive benefit of other countries like China, leaving American workers and taxpayers to absorb the cost in terms of lost jobs, lower wages, shuttered factories, and vastly diminished economic production.
    • Immigration: President Biden promised to open our borders by gifting citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants, ending the construction of the border wall, and rescinding travel bans that significantly strengthened American national security.
    • Obama’s Third Term: With over half of Biden appointees having served previously in the Obama Administration, the Biden Administration is doubling down on former President Barack Obama’s big government and globalist agenda that left America unquestionably weaker, less safe, and less secure as a leader of the Free World.
