MTGOP Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt released the following statement in response to the loss of conservative icon, Rush Limbaugh, who passed away today at the age of 70:

“Rush Limbaugh was a conservative hero who ferociously defended the movement’s ideals, and helped shaped the thinking of multiple generations over his legendary career,” said MTGOP Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt. “For over 30 years, Rush’s iconic voice spoke to millions of Americans across the United States, and his presence in American life will be sorely missed. Rush’s unique role in conservative politics and his outsized influence in the media industry rightfully earned him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time as they, along with millions of Americans, mourn the loss of a great American Patriot.”
