HELENA, Mont. – After a meeting of the Montana Republican Party Executive Board on Tuesday night, MTGOP is pleased to announce its endorsement of Elsie Arntzen in her re-election campaign for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Montana Republican Party Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt released the following statement regarding the endorsement:

“As Montana’s Superintendent, Elsie Arntzen has a proven track-record of supporting and advocating for Montana’s students, parents, and teachers. She has secured many student-focused initiatives in her role – including student safety, mental health, career and technical education, and individualized learning measures,” Chairman Kaltschmidt said.

“Superintendent Arntzen has also risen to the occasion during the COVID-19 crisis, leading Montana’s schools through an unprecedented situation. She has successfully advocated for flexibility for local schools and families and pushed back against attempts to create a one-size-fits-all solution for our schools. Montana will rely on Elsie’s leadership when schools reopen, and we are grateful Elsie is our candidate.”
