HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte tonight joined the 67th Legislature in the House Chamber of the State Capitol to deliver his first State of the State Address as governor.
In his remarks, Governor Gianforte communicated his positive, hopeful vision for our state. With a focus on protecting our families and communities by combatting the drug epidemic, creating more good-paying jobs for Montanans, making Montana’s economy competitive, and bringing prosperity to every corner of the state, Governor Gianforte is poised to lead Montana’s comeback.
MTGOP Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt released the following statement in response:
“Congratulations to Governor Gianforte on delivering his first State of the State address. After sixteen years of hearing from Democrats, it’s nice to hear a conservative voice finally addressing the Treasure State again,” said MTGOP Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt. “After a year filled with many challenges, tonight we turned the page and began a new chapter for the Last Best Place.
Governor Gianforte presented a clear vision for changing the way Helena does business, restoring customer service to the government, and building a stronger, healthier Montana for all Montanans. After tonight, it could not be any clearer: with Helena back in Republican hands, Montana’s best days lie ahead.”
