HELENA, Mont. — Tyler Newcombe stepped down from his role as the Montana Republican Party (MTGOP) Executive Director this month, having served in the position since January.
“It has been an incredible honor to work with such a dedicated team on advancing conservative values across Montana,” Newcombe said. “I’m proud of what we accomplished together and confident that the MTGOP is well-positioned for the future.”
Newcombe oversaw much of the MTGOP’s work during the 2025 legislative session, broke fundraising records, and set the party on a path to more victories in the coming years.
“I appreciate Tyler’s service to the Montana Republican Party and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” MTGOP Chairman Art Wittich said.
The MTGOP plans to announce the new executive director in the coming weeks.
Additionally, the MTGOP brought on Ethan Holmes to serve as the new Communications Director. Holmes — a University of Montana graduate with extensive political and journalistic experience — will be responsible for handling press affairs and serving as the principal point of contact for the party.
The MTGOP looks forward to delivering the conservative agenda mandated by voters, growing its grassroots base, and keeping Montana bright red.
