HELENA, Mont. – Tonight, Montanans elected our next Secretary of State – Christi Jacobsen.

MTGOP Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt issued the following statement congratulating Secretary of State Jacobsen:

“Congratulations to our next Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen, whose time spent as Deputy Secretary of State and in the private sector have prepared her to immediately fulfill the responsibilities of this office. As Secretary of State, Jacobsen will support Montana’s small businesses and uphold the integrity of our elections by supporting Voter ID requirements and will always defend Montanans’ right to vote in person.”
