CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHT
Roy Brown-Republican Candidate for Governor

In 1998 Roy began his career as a public servant when he ran his first successful campaign for the Montana House of Representatives. Roy’s leadership ability was recognized by his legislative peers, and in 2002 he was selected as the House Majority leader where he became their go-to man on the most important issues such as; education, tax relief, and energy development.

Since 1999, Roy’s legislative career has been guided by his belief that Montanans do best when the government governs least.
He has fought for lower taxes to stimulate economic growth, an accountable and fiscally responsible state budget, energy development, and for the important role of empowered traditional family life.

Though Roy serves the triple roles of family man, business man, and public servant, his family has always taken center-stage in his life. He married his wife of 31 years, Kim, in 1976, and together they have three children: Katie (27), Gillian (20), and Roy Jr. (19).
